What It Might Take

As time goes by and things continue to evolve in the NFL, week one of the regular season has turned into last-minute dress rehearsal. The assumed starters for a team rarely see the field during a game in the preseason. When they do get on the field for a meaningless scrimmage, it's played with less intensity and at a slower pace. The more seasoned the veteran is, the less exposure it seems they receive before the season.

And then the season starts. The curtain is raised and we expect everybody to be prepared for a solid performance. That didn't happen last week.

I am hoping our first outing was a wake-up call for our team. The coaches and the players should be back up to full speed. Kevin Williams will be back on the field and our defense can play a solid 60 minutes. Adrian Peterson should get the amount of carries we need for him to be effective - especially towards the end of the game.

It's time to tame the Bears, gentlemen.

SKOL VIKES!
